Yet another example of the institutional incompetentence of BDGH

I was in there for a week and I have nothing but praise for them. All hospitals have issues, it's not exclusive to BDGH.

I can only speak highly of BDGH but things do go wrong. Don't know the context of the poor chap in question, but Lyme Disease is a bugger to diagnose in many cases.

What I have on average can take 4 or 5 years to diagnose. If ever it gets diagnosed.

BDGH diagnosed me in less than 12 months. And have since provided me with comprehensive ongoing support and the correct medication and dose. As such I haven't had any relapse for 4 years and counting.

The place doesn't get enough praise.

You ought to be absolutely ashamed to be posting this sort of gobshite nonsense without any reference to any underlying facts. Do you know how many people work at BDGH? Do you think none of them care a bugger despite devoting their working lives to caring for people? Do you think the undispuputed inefficiencies in the NHS system allow you to slag off all those good people on the ground doing their best for folk in conditions of adversity? Yours is a post too far mate. On behalf of anyone on here who remotely agrees with me (and there aren't usually many): sod off.

BDGH is a wonderful place with wonderful staff, without going into detail my wife would not be here without BARNSLEY AND DISTRICT GENERAL HOSPITAL. I hope at some point you get to sample their care and understanding when you go with your broken nose, which inevitably, is coming your way.

As Ivr said before I can see it from my house. However, I would not jeopardise my families safety by going to

    Pinderfields every time

As I said to Angela Smith I'm proud to come from barnsley and I want a service to be proud of in my town

You're quoting isolated incidents that happen at hospitals up and down the country. You can't besmirch a whole hospital and it's staff and justify by presenting these incidents as evidence. Have you any idea how many people they treat and care for every year?
