Nothing new, lower teams through good management and manager build a good team, then hey presto the team is asset stripped by the big money clubs. They do no want to develop their own youngsters so just buy ready made.
It was always going to be the case with this young team, and the Policy is to develop lower league and sell them on.
That is not much consolation for our supporters, who are now buzzing with this team.
We may get the chance of getting in the play offs with these lads, and look at the jackpot then, U.S. With millions in bank.
Dark days are gathering and either today or next window will see us stripped of our best young uns.
Hope Patrick is like West Brom and says no means no

This league is so tight that selling Hourihane and one or two others could literally be the difference between 5th and 22nd place.

Correct, and could mean in the end starting again in league 1. Then it will be big sell with season tickets to get supporters back in.
Tell all buyers to take a jump and if it means some running their contracts out so be it

I trust our management to source quality replacements for most players, but Conor on current form is virtually irreplaceable, especially at this stage of the season.

We can hardly complain when that's us. We asset strip lower league sides because we don't develop our own youngsters (a big reason Branson went) and so if others do it to us that's life.
