    Eyup, new poster here.

It's in the Torygraph that the proposal for a 5 league structure with PL, Ch, L1, L2 and L3 is planned to go ahead for the 2019-20 season. Celtic and Rangers look set to be invited.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...gue-to-consider-celtic-and-rangers-for-inclu/

It's going to a vote, but if our clubs are willing to vote to wazz away any credibility the Football League Trophy had by adding B teams, then I don't have much faith that they'll vote against this. Pressure from the top I think.

Would take a lot for me to dump football, but I feel like every season the admin/off the field side of football is just getting more and more greedy and poorly run

I'm in favour of the new structure I think, and inviting Rangers and Celtic doesn't bother me that much. But if b teams are anywhere near any new league structure then that would probably be it for my interest in football.

About halfway down that article they credit Wigan with winning the last EFL trophy...

since this was mentioned last season i have liked the thought of having 5 leagues of 20 teams and if rangers and celtic join it would make the league better in my opinion

just dont want reserve teams joining in the football league if they want reserves to be playing proffesional football then make an extra league structure but have all reserve teams from all league teams joining in not just premier league reserve teams

My worry is the lost revenue from 4 missing home games. That's got to put a right dent in the budgets of lower league sides. Would just make the gulf between the PL and the Fl even bigger

You do know as soon as this is brought in the Prem will want their league reducing again.

Its OK saying invite Rangers and Celtic

but what about the implications for the Scottish league, loss of income from their massive support could tip some of their clubs over the edge, and although they both carry massive support, would they be willing or able to afford the travel costs of heading south every other week?

Personally, I'd rather have reserve teams in the league than the Scottish "Big Two", if it was done properly. So the two teams can't be in the same division - no promotion if A team is in league above and both are relegated a division if the A team is relegated to the same division as the B team. All the reserve sides would have a set management structure and players at the start of the season, with no transfer between the A and B teams during the season.

I don't want Scottish clubs in our league and would prefer Welsh clubs removed and made to play in their own league too.

There would be no way clubs would loan players if they had B sides in the league. Eventually it will be all Premiership sides and then in the Championship it would eventually be all the B sides of said Premiership sides.

Well, it's bye bye football then - soon it'll be a closed shop of the so called big boys - don't they realise they're only big because of luck? If this had been done in the 20's, Hudds would be the big club and arses like Swansea, man utd and Liverpool would be nowhere

Let me guess which division Celtic & Rangers would want to start in, ant it's not the 5th. It's the sky feeding trough they're interested in. I'd let Berwick Rangers in before them.

What I dont understand is why do we need to reduce the size of the divisions to 20 clubs - is it so we can have a winter break I dont see any benefit otherwise

As for where the extra clubs come from - surely thats the top of the conference isnt it

And I cant see Celtic and Rangers agreeing to start in division 5 - and its a silly idea to include them - though not as silly as if B teams are also allowed

I think they will come from a mixture of conference and Prem B teams.

Either that or bring them all under the umbrella of the FA so that consistent disciplinary standards are brought to bear on all the Clubs competing in the Football League & the Premier League.

that could put a dent in a few scottish clubs money not playing those 2 how ever many times they play each other these days.
