Can't blame the stewards, if you're determined to get on the pitch you'll get on.

It's never crossed my mind and seems a bit daft to be honest, especially given the (apparent) consequences, but I suppose with some people the emotion takes over...even if it's only Rotherham

I do. I knew I wasn't going to make it as I was in Barcelona so I released the seat.

You can do that? Do they then put it back on sale?

Oh right. Didn't know you could do that. Friend of the family is using mine for the next two games while I am away.

    Apparently so.

I politely asked the woman if she was in the right seat because I knew that was already taken and she showed me her numbered seat ticket.

I meant that I released that particular seat. It seemed a shame that my lovely half way seat would be empty in a local derby game, especially as there is always an empy seat next to me too. I guess someone saw it and bought it (them?) which I hoped would happen. They'd have had a lovely view of our 4 goals going in. I had a seat reserved for me somewhere in a far corner that probably got soaked all game from the weather report.

The new season ticket holder turned up on Saturday for that spare seat. He must be twenty stone and spent half the game on his feet.

    Only kidding :D

Am I imagining it or didn't this once happen to someone in the late 80s early 90s, maybe David Currie?? Last home game of the season and a fan slipped running towards him and put his out of the last match of the season?

True that. Not sure if it was a slip or a punch though!
