    I'd love to have Isgrove but there could be an issue with wages. Apparently he's on a very big wedge at Southampton, so he'd have to be willing to take a hefty cut. Ariyibi looks like he would cost more by way of a fee, but we may well save on wages.

    He's not going to get in the team ahead of Hammill or Kent. I wouldn't want us to spend any more than £300k on someone who is going to sit on the bench.

    I suppose that's the trade-off we have to consider - do we pay big wages and get him for a very small fee. I can't imagine we'll be paying him £2m over his contact. Time for the spreadsheets.

    I can't imagine we will be paying him that either.
    Ethos of the club is young hungry players proving a point.
    If he wants to come and do that all well and good but if he won't come till we make up his wages to something like he's on at STs then leave him IMO.

    £2million? We've built an entire championship level squad for less than that.

    Not a chance we'll pay that and nor should we for a position we don't actually desperately need to fill.

    He looked a good player against us last year but I'd rather take a chance and try and get him at end of his contract than pay that much. That's insane money for a club like us.

    I think the 2 mill that was being referred to was isgroves contract with the saints.
    That's what I thought anyway and that was whom I was refwring to in my thread , if I've got it wrong ,apologies
