Good job Liverpool and Man Utd didn't release Gerrard and Giggs at a similar age with exactly the same problem.
His injuries are destroying him. He's got all the potential in the world but his injuries are ruining him and when e comes back, he's nowhere near match fit and looks piss poor.
Think he'll face tough competition for his place back in the side once he's fit again. I think Yiadom is probably first choice after Saturday.
With Yiadom playing well hopefully we won't need to rush him back. Think he's a great prospect personally. Hopefully the fitness team can work on preventing it happening again. It's not like a bone injury, so should be avoidable.
Think we'll be seeing this type of injury a lot this season with the pressing for 90 minutes game that we try to employ. Might not always be an issue in games but when that makes you a bit stiff for training you're more likely to pull summat.
Release?? Good job Liverpool didn't take the same approach with a young Steven Gerrard who couldn't string two games together when he was growing into his body. The kid is 18 years old. Plenty of time to develop. He'll be fine. Last thing we want to be doing is spending years developing someone in the academy, get then on the brink of first team then release them.
