That we didn't have this time last year? Confidence? Better coaching? We've gone up a league and other than a couple of narrow away defeats we would be top of the league going into the international break. I'm not sure what to do were normally near the bottom on the verge of another managerial change calling for the players heads scrambling round for panic signings looking at the loan market to get us out of trouble. Patrick Cryne is a humble man and not one to shout about it but the introduction of the young hungry talented team building from the lower leagues and looking to profit on the development and replace with similar players has really turned our club around. We're flying on and off the pitch with money from stones holgate and Mawson coming in the last year or so bringing stability off the field and we've now got a side to be proud of on the pitch. Angus came in for Mawson today and never put a foot wrong alongside Roberts also signed from non league. Hecky and the coaching staff have been a revelation since Johnson went to Bristol and I'm so chuffed we've got a lad in from Barnsley doing the business. He speaks well and he's getting the best from the team and the fans are really getting behind everything at the moment. What a time to be a Barnsley fan........
A fantastic manager who's united all our players & fans alike - who manages to do the simple stuff brilliantly
If we play like this but do end up going down I'll still be chuffed, giving it a good go and with a clear plan and vision that everyone in the club is pulling towards
This season we have...... - most fans behind the team and club - momentum from last seasons success - consistency in mainly a settled side - unity - more defined first team squad I'm sure there's more
If we've learnt owt from last season mate it's that patience is key, wether that be we end up relegated or not I will still have every faith in Hecky and the rest of the staff, because, as you said, you can clearly see the direction everyone is pulling towards
