A game of opinions but I thought he was the best in ages and i'd have him at Oakwell every week. He wasn't card happy seemingly taking the wet surface and it being a local derby into consideration. Could have booked Hourihane for going through their player and didn't book him for another foul where it looked like he was telling him it was his last warning. Quite a weak free kick to get for the set piece that lead to our goal. Tried to let the game flow playing advantages for both sides before deciding to bring the play back.
I'd like somebody to explain how you can spend so long talking to players, have a couple go down for injuries and have one in particular down for around 3 minutes and play less than a minute of added time
Never seem anything quite as that blatant dive. Absolutely laughable - as was the linesman frantically flagging when the bloke clearly hadn't been touched. To be honest I thought the general attitude from Rotherham players was poor throughout. Quite a few incidents going down easily - and seemed more interested in arguing with ref than playing at times.
He was a bit of a fussy fanny, but we've had much worse. Scowen falling over macca and handling was a bit laughable, but the only alternative would have been a drop ball, which would have been just as dangerous for us. Rovrum were going over like skittles, but ref wised up.
Initially when reading this thread I thought you were talking about some bird, and then I realised you hadn't come across the word 'dived' and instead used the name of a bird.
Some of the fouls awarded were simply physical which he could have let go but he didn't get anything blatantly wrong and was on top of the play all the time so I would give him 7/10.
