Valuation of Sam Morsy

Just heard an interview with Chris Wilder on Radio Sheffield. Sheff U were rumored to be linked with Morsy last week. Wilder has spoke about his frustration on trying to sign players as they've been overvalued by their current clubs. He spoke of players ranging from £750k to £1.5million.

Reading between the lines, and considering that I've just seen an article dated 2 days ago, that Wigan are not looking to offload Morsy on the cheap, I reckon he could be one of the players spoke about.

Do you think we'd pay somewhere around this for him? He does have 2 years on his contract left I think.

He's not getting in the team. 500k would do it.

 

If he isn't getting in a poor Wigan team why would we want him

 

I can't see us signing anyone for over 600-750k, regardless of the posssible extra cash from the Stones sale. Is Morsy worth more than that? To us probably not, to a rich club wanting a relatively cheap, young midfielder, aye, probably. Quality players command big fees. I don't know enough about Morsy to slap an accurate value on him, but I'd be very very surprised if we bid more than 600k for him or Arriybi. If that means we are stuck with loans from the Premier Legaue, so be it.

 

Don't think Wigan are poor at all. Moncur' quality and he can't get a game for us.

 

Its only 2 weeks ago S****horpe agreed a fee with Wigan.

 

They got him for nowt I,d tell them to do one, no way we,d pay that for him.

 

Something wrong at Wigan if Perkins is getting in the team ahead of Morsey. I would love us to sign him.
