I said the other day, Barnsley FC will never meet his expectations... Thing is, i've just spent the evening at a BBQ with a member of the family who is a professional with over 200 league games to his name. After browsing this thread i decided to ask him how much of a notice he and his fellow pro's take of fans like Hemsy, constantly picking holes in their game. He himself said he doesn't give a toss, but at his current club at least half of his team mates have suffered a loss of confidence due to individual "fans" constantly being on their backs and a number have even decided to leave the club at the earliest possibility due to them. So please Hemsy, if you do love the club, then think about toning it down. It may be nothing but a wind up or a laugh to you, but it has a big impact on players you are targeting...
I had a conversation on Twitter with Darragh McAnthony the posh chairman after Ireland's meek Euro campaign. He said they needed new blood as the players being picked weren't good enough. He also said Hourihane and a player from them were certain if they were to move forward. So, as you would put it Hemsie, that's football club owning and multi millionaire Darragh McAnthony who thinks they've got it very wrong.
It's becoming more and more obvious that he's on a constant wind up. I just though id try and enlighten him to the results that his "wind ups" can have on the individuals we pay good money to support....
Who did O Dowda play for last season? Was that a team in a lower league or not? And as for comparing "Apples with Oranges", it's ok for you to refer to teams in the Champions League, and compare them to Barnsley, but it's not ok for me to compare a versatile midfielder to a versatile midfielder? Ok . Fair enough.
One from what i've read plays wide and one central Fired. That's international Football. Take England for example. Your a left back in 2007. Behind Ashley cole. Little chance of playing. Left winger, not the talent of the second choice left back and you will be playing. I'm not saying Connor Hourihane isn't talented. Just saying why I personally think he's not getting picked. Look at that side, he's trying to get into the most talented area other than right back.
Whilst it may be the case that Hemsie has an opinion that does not fit with almost anyone else on this subject, I find it more pathetic than anything else that he has posted for it to be suggested (as you are obviously suggesting) that he is liable to end up being banned for posting that very opinion. It states "Administrator" every time you post. Can you change it to "Guardian of free speech"? And then abide by such a promise? What kind of country do we live in? One that doesn't allow someone to say CH doesn't deserve a call up for the Eire squad? Are the posters on here not smart enough to concoct an argument to defeat Hemsie's sometimes warped logicalities? Stop free speech eh? Wonderful. Thank you Big Brother.
Now, when you put it like that, its hard not to see your point. But when you come on all confrontational, giving it the big "I am the Oracle of football", you just sound like a nob on a wind up...
You know exactly why. He posts to get a reaction and then sympathy, from the likes of you. Bullying my ******* arse.
Bullying never crossed my mind. Think only of the right to post your opinion. I have no sympathy for any one on here.
I'm defending the right for him to say it as he sees it. The major problem is a cohort seeking to prevent him from saying what he sees. There is no harm in his posts. He has a different opinion. That's all. WTF is wrong with that? He isn't like Zazlos - posting the same thoughtless drivel, emphasising the same point. He enhances this place.
.... and I think it pathetic that you think that anyone would get banned for merely having an opinion. That has never happened, and will never happen. If you want further details PM me.
Sorry but is this the same Hendrick that was at the Euros playing and starting for Ireland when they did very well? I noticed him a lot and he impressed me. I know HT is seen by a lot as a wind up but Hendrick is a good player. So is Conor but maybe they have someone that can do what he does? Off the top of my head he is very good at set pieces, they have Robbie Brady that is very good at striking a dead ball. McCarthy is more of an engine and has the Premier League pedigree, Glenn Whelan is the first name on Mark Hughes teamsheet and Harry Arter was very impressive last year for a Bournemouth side that stayed up and entertained and has kept his place there this season. I love Conor as we all do apart from maybe HT but it's not the worst argument to suggest he isn't at that level just yet, he might be but this isn't that out there. I do think he will get in that squad very soon though. This season anyway, our captain is a reyt player.
Perhaps you could explain to all of us - I do not need pm - what you meant by "where posts like this leads". You posted that for all to see, so your explanation should be out here too.
