    Part time workers who have taken up to a year off work don't tend to be paid as high as full time workers who have worked continuously.

    Well who would have thought it.

    This was the subject of one of James O'Briens phone-ins on LBC this morning. There were some very interesting views expressed by some callers.

    They were mixed but in the main people were saying that there was no sexism involved. Likewise with parents (usually women) who were overlooked for promotion in favour of other employees.
