Hemsy, I think you make some good points from time to time, and you obviously love your sport, but having ago at a Manager who is from the area, lovers the club and has shown obvious ability is his short tenure is either a mint wind up, or plain daft.

If it is the latter, can I suggest you (as much as I have saying this) look at another team to follow, as your standards are at a level that I don't think Barnsley Football CLub(or 95% of any club) will ever meet.

If it is the former, then I tip my hat to you, as your fishing session has proved fruitful!!!!

Damn! I wanted to put that and you beat me to it!
It was in the second half of last season we were getting told Bradshaw was a better striker than Winnall. More attributes presumably.
Now he's barely four games in and deemed not good enough.
Sometimes I just can't get my breath!

Defensive midfielders are a modern phenomenon.

Typical of the ******** spouted by those in the know within the English game.

There are and have been very few players who have been a genuine defensive midfielder Ie crab in front of the back four marking space and killing opposition attacks.

They tend to be playing for the top clubs in Europe.

Your example of Kante is a bit of a strange one as he didn't really sit in front of a back four. He was everywhere for Leicester. As often in the final third as his own.

Ironically like his new manager was at juve

It's the former IMO, he has and will always target the fan favourites...
