    Legend in the Making.

Firm favourite, is his current status.

A player who is growing every game, and twice the player he was in those dark days when getting booed for not putting a tackle in.

To make himself a legend in my eyes he's got to sign a new contract. In the same way stones did.

He will still get his move, but will ensure Barnsley get full value from selling him. Sign it now and he'll also earn more money in the next year.

I think he needs to do well with us this season to cement his legend status. He's certainly managing that so far.

Adam Hammill is already there in my eyes ! . I'm reminiscing a little bit and thinking of some 'borderline legends' . Clive Baker ? Paul Futcher ? Brendon O'Connell ? . Plenty to go at .

Captain in a double trophy winning season, 40 assists and 20 goals from midfield in 2 seasons. 2 goals and 3 assists in the first 3 games this season. Of course he's a legend.

Believe Glav got 90 odd goals for us from midfield. All of them in this division.

Could we do some creative contract offer for him. Its nailed on he will go, whether in contract or not, but obviously we will get some brass if he is. Couldnt we offer him a much better wage (to reflect his worth to the club) and a lump sum should he not get a transfer, perhaps even a percentage of the transfer fee...I may be talking out of my arse (in fact I am) but would be terrible if such a player left for nowt.

P.s. would prefer him to sign a three year deal and stay though2

The club has already stated that he and Winall will run their contracts down as is their right. In the same position that is what I would do. They could both sign another contract with us after the current one has expired. There is risk in their position ie drop in form or long term injury. I would have thought that their agents will have made them aware of this.

I honestly believe Cryne et al will have tried everything they can to make him sign. It is a shame that we can't get him to sign but he can got for £200k next year so we get a bit of money but not enough to hamper any move for him. Not that I blame him he's fantastic and won't be at this level for long at this rate.
