My and wifey talking this a.m. about old clothing that was the "must wear" in the trendy 60s and 70s when we were kids. Everybody had to have a parka coat (the long greenish fish tailed thing with a hood with fur edging). Girls used to wear mni skirts which then sadly, very sadly, degenerated into those awful maxi skirts. (or was it midi skirts, can't remember?) Any other obvious ones?
Re: Does anyone still possess a pair of original 1960s/70s flourescent lime green soc I thought this was going to be a thread about an awful away kit at first.
Re: Does anyone still possess a pair of original 1960s/70s flourescent lime green soc Was always partial to a cravat back in the day. Silk, brightly coloured, polka dotted. Truth be known, still am...when everyone's out and with curtains drawn.
Re: Does anyone still possess a pair of original 1960s/70s flourescent lime green soc Platform shoes and flares to name but two of my previous loves...lol....God am a fashion diva...lol
Re: Does anyone still possess a pair of original 1960s/70s flourescent lime green soc I used to get mine from Frank Bird's along with sta-prest Rigger bags, button-down Ben Shermans, Crombies, star jumpers, snake belts and platform brogues. My mint green six button waistband 22 inch bottom Oxford Bags last seen dancing to Al Wilson at the Boys Club in 74 have sadly gone the way of Lord Lucan. Talking of socks our present club ones were all the rage back in 72 among the glam rock lasses. See from 1 min 22; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkqQj8Z_aVY
