    And unfortunately for LJ there are prem clubs in for him now....

    Looks like it may be Alfie off and Kevin Long in?

    Hope we get £5m+ for him. At least.

    Does sound a bit like we want to resist "Batton down the hatches". But if we get a big bid? Provided we can get a couple of decent replacements then that will be that.

    I know no-one wants to lose him but it's quite flattering that we are having to ward off Premier League clubs for one of our players. We are doing a lot of things right these days. Long may it continue.

    As much as I love alfie if a good bid comes in from a premiership team he will go. He will want to play at the highest level we can't deny him that. And we aren't a one man team. We will sell and bring the next talent through that's how the system works. Hope he stays though.

    Exactly, he's brilliant but I trust Hecky to bring in yet another brilliant replacement. Not just that but if he brings in 5m+ which is definitely possible from Prem clubs, they pay daft money, then we can go get Lloyd on a permanent if we aren't trying already plus a lot of other targets we have on our list which is fantastic.

    Prem teams are awash with money so we should milk them stupid !
    It's Murdochs/Sky TV's fault for the above so make their pips squeak, so many players out there on silly money, why should we lose our best for peanuts.
    Also, surely we don't need to sell, if that is true then hang on while the auction begins.

    I wish we could get some information about what Brentford would be entitled to if/when he goes. I'd be surprised if they let us have him without a sell on clause in the deal.

    On the other hand.....maybe they didn't know how good he was, and Wycombe didn't let on either :D
