    Update

I found some more from the Newcastle game 1981/2 and a couple of long-range shots from Stamford Bridge, same season (won 2-1, Glavin got one, but can't remember who got the other). I'll scan and upload them tonight.

Blimey. Those photos highlight just how much Oakwell and the surrounding area has changed over the years.

Cheers Brush these are quite wonderful.

I like the look of Glyn Rileys training top. It has the style of the Welsh national team strip of the time.

I spy the Social Club as well

No there was nothing at all but a plunge into oblivion if you lost your footing. Ok, it wasn't so dramatic but you would have sustained some nasty injuries if you fell down there, especially if you hit the wall at the bottom. There would often be plenty of people standing right at the top watching the match as well as the half time entertainment behind on the Co-op Sports pitches.

There was concrete terracing up to about half way with a slag heap topping it off. H&S would have a ball if they saw that these days. But then everything was fine and I don't recall any incidents.

Fantastic - evokes memories, especially the walk up the ponty end car park.
