Surely the Stones money should change the clubs strategy slightly. I'd offer him a 2 year extension on his contract starting at 10 grand a week. You have to think how much would it cost to replace him ?

I hope so too, I think he has the ability. It is impossible and unfair to compare them at this point because Conor has developed exponentially over the last year.

That money would be best spent making sure we extend Hourihane and Winnalls deals for a few years, we'll then more than recoup the expenditure on transfer fee's and money earned from staying in the division.

i was thinking back to the games at the beginning of his career with us where he wwas getting booed of the pitch getting subbed by Danny. Hes come a long way with us and can still get better. To jump ship now would be silly and land him on the bench at a prem club. At the very least he will leave it while Jan and see where we are imho - he wont want to miss out on another possible wembley apperance as captain if we did the amazing achievement of keeping this run going and landing in the playoffs. Hard task and too early to talk about but this team obviously has potential - depends how long they can keep up the intensity of the first 3 games.

Feels a bit like Redfearn in his prime, coming up with goals out of nothing. If he can do that when we don't play so well then I think we'll do alright this season.
