Every chance I'll get shot down in flames here, but Patrick Cryne has never struck me as the type of person who would even have a facebook account. Not that I know the man very well, but he has always struck me as a very private person and befriending every man and his dog on facebook just doesn't seem like his bag. I could be wrong on that, he may well have found a medium on which he likes to express himself. Good luck to him if he has. But the content doesn't seem quite right either. Little things like using the word God as an exclamation or to express a sense of frustration. Maybe he does that, but I've not heard him, and it does seem out of character. Other things too, like it doesn't appear to have his usual considered delivery. He's an excellent public speaker. I would imagine he's an even better writer, when his thoughtful approach can come further to the fore, and I can't imagine him writing the above. I might be miles off, but it just doesn't seem to fit for me.

Hang on, have I missed summat here? If it's on Facebook, it's on social media, so the "rest of the world" can see it anyway ...

    Agreed.

It's like an email. Once you hit send you have no control over where it goes. Same with FB. If you hit post you have no control over where the contents can end up.

Maybe 'out of order' was a bit strong but you get my point. I personally wouldn't want someone posting my facebook stuff on here without permission, he might not mind at all but we don't know that.

Unless your friends share it with others who aren't your friends.

It's still on the internet though, isn't it? Once you've put it on, you have no control of where it is or who uses it. I think a lot of people forget that.

I'm pretty sure that in opening a facebook account, befriending lots of reds fans and then posting the things he has, that he's well aware that these posts will be shared. In fact, I'd suggest he's hoping they are...

And were he against me sharing the two statuses that I have on here, I'm sure his son would have let me know.

But I do get your point.

I doubt he'll be using facebook to post truly private thoughts/news etc. I don't either. I'll leave others to plaster their private lives all over it, for my amusement. Or photos of their children, every two ******* minutes.

Neither of those comments have registered. I might be being slow, I have just done an 8 hour shift.
