we won't out football teams in L1, it's a battle and Wilson hasn't kept/brought in enough strength and physicality. O Grady hasn't been replaced. Nyatanga is weak. The academy lads aren't ready. All blatantly obvious to anyone and especially opposing managers. We're going nowhere in this league unless the management and 'board' accept we need to battle and graft and make it an ugly but effective season.
Yet the only defender that was any good today was Nyatanga !! You have do NOt have to just battle and graft at the expence of skill, but we need to be able to mix it up, be nasty when we need to but also be able to play football, not one or the other !!
Teams can football their way out of this division, we just need to improve. The way we just surrendered today was very worrying.
This last 5 weeks must have been really frustrating, as you were waiting for us to lose so you could post that, only to see us go on a 5 match unbeaten run.
We didn't lose today because we weren't physical We lost because various players made individual errors and MK Dons were clinical in punishing us. Madmark is right, we need to be able to mix it up a bit but the best footballing teams do well - look at Orient and Rotherham reaching the play off final last year.
