Re: So Cardiff are complaining Always throws me when watching Cardiff on telly when they are at home to a side in blue...eg last season against Everton, and it just doesn't register that Cardiff are in red.
Re: So Cardiff are complaining Back to the Malky texts. I'm in 2 minds about this. As many people on here will know I'm one of the first to stand up against any sort of racism but these were private texts between 2 people. I've seen the posting above about the content of them which I had not previously seen and they are disgusting, but again they were private texts for the viewing of 1 person and so the only person that truly had a right to be offended by them was the person receiving them. If we were all going to be exposed for things we had said in confidence or in a private email/text maybe as a joke (where you know how the other person will view it) then most of us would probably be in the same boat. I know that in private exchanges me and my friends will have said stuff in jest that we would not share to wider audiences. This is the issue now with internet etc, everything is out there. Having said all that, it has also been stated that this was on the company (club) phone, and there are rules regarding that - you can't use company phones/email like you would your personal. I view this completely differently to the Keys/Gray saga where they were in the studio.
Re: So Cardiff are complaining I've travelled all round the world, and met a lot of cnuts in my time - but Cardiff are the cnutiest cnuts of all.
Re: So Cardiff are complaining i find it staggering that people are suggesting Tan is some kind of 'snitch', for revealing this info (and we don't even know if it was him). Or that it is any kind of defence that the texts were sent privately. So today Mackay has admitted he sent the texts, and already the LMA are fighting his corner, trying to pass them off as some kind of 'friendly banter'. I generally find Leroy Rosenior a dismally boring man. But his comments today are bang on. If Mackay finds himself back in football management, any time soon, it makes a complete mockery of the Kick It Out and Respect campaigns. I'm losing faith in football on a daily fcukin basis.
Re: So Cardiff are complaining Update...LMA issue second statement, admitting they're a set of indefensible idiots http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28896425
Re: So Cardiff are complaining shakes head. they're really not very bright are they, these football people.
Re: So Cardiff are complaining Harry thinks its a "mistake" being racist, sexist, homophobic and anti-Semitic. Not wrong, disgusting or the like, just a "mistake". Harry for England eh?
Re: So Cardiff are complaining Unbelievably stupid comments from a pretty dimwitted man, clearly still rooted in 70's East End London. Got nothing but condemnation for what Mackay has done, or anyone who tries to defend him. I just can't see how it would be tenable for him to be manager of another Club. How is he ever going to get the trust or respect now, that a manager needs to command? Then again, nowt surprises me in top flight football anymore. Rape, manslaughter, drink driving, assault, all seem perfectly commonplace.
Re: So Cardiff are complaining Yep. My main memory of the day is the behaviour of their fans. I went straight from the coach to my seat and back again without hanging around and I still saw a LOT of disgusting behaviour. It started as we got within say a mile of wembley and we came round a corner to be met with dozens of their fans standing in the road blocking the path and hurling abuse and beer cans. Then a few corners later we met a coach of their fans who were practically all giving threateninf signs through the windows including kids and women. Then we got to the ground and a wall of cardiff fans were being held back by police as thry attempted to get to the coach area where we were. After the game I was the first person back on our coach and one of the first ti the carpark at all as our coach was the closest to the stadium and while just me and the driver sat on the coach things were thrown at us. I then sat for around 30 minutes watching as what must have been aan army of cardiff fans were running at the barnsley end and were being sent back by police. They then decided to stand on tbe raised area round the ground spitting at the barnsley fans beneath them, swearing and threatening them and throwing things while shouting racist abuse. They werent celebrating getting to the final at all they were just being thugs. As we drove away we were confronted by 3 middle aged women and a few young children (no men present) who All stood giving us the finger and spitting at the coach. Oh and anyone who has read my posts will know that im not one to defend barnsley fans and blame the opposition fans but at this game it was appalling.
Re: So Cardiff are complaining A character reference from 'Arry is hardly a ringing endorsement is it Must admit though I am not sure what to make of this story - a few texts selected and published with no context might be not as bad as they appear - as Eaststander mentions earlier in the thread. Most of us at some point have sent texts or emails privately to individuals that we would never dream of making public and may well have scope for being taken out of context to make us look like racist sexist bigots - especially things sent in fun I think many of us have at some point mentioned that some Koreans are known to eat canine meat for example and jokingly made comments to other male friends about a female especially if we believe she has had cosmetic work done (Not so sure about the monopoly one though) Of course Makay may well be a racist sexist bigot but I am a bit distrustful of a few snippets as posted at the top of this thead
every club has horrible fans, my lasting memory of cardiff fans at wembley was at full time. me busting for a piss and going into a karzy full o taffs obviously i'd have got my head kicked if we'd won, but i gave enough pillock back and had a good laugh, think i won wen i said i'd shagged more virgin sheep!
Another fyi - for others unfamiliar with Wales - Taffs relates to South Walians - the Northern Welsh use it as an insult too!
My lasting memory is walking out of wembley with my young lad and been spat at from the raised area, I found it unbelievable that they chose to do that rather than stay in the ground and celebrate reaching an FA Cup final,
