Worth watching alone for the sabs interrogation of the police, just watch them squirm as they are reduced to suspects!! This film doesn't contain any graphic imagery of dead or dying animals, but you will nonetheless be left shocked that such government sponsored crime on wildlife is going in this day and age. Which parts do you feel show them squirming and why do you think they are reduced to suspects? As opposed as I am to the Badger cull, I watched a frank and amenable discussion in relation to points of law. Obviously there are differing views about how the opposing groups see the other's point of view but I see nothing to suggest anyone's rights were breached/impinged upon or have I missed it?
Oh, there is definite squirming activity. The bits when they are accused of harassment and asked to identify themselves, their forces and superior officers. The police are following the protestors for hours at a time under suspicion of illegal activity. The protestors then confront the police, who know full well that is unlawful harassment and turn the tables on them with a camera rolling. Not only that they have to justify not just one man but several officers, taking several hours to divert law abiding protestors away from the shooters. They know they will be up for a bollocking for being filmed and put on the internet and also in must frankly be embarrassing for a supposed impartial police force to be exposed as security for Defra and the NFU, particularly in such a corrupt and senseless policy. To be honest I'd be squirming more than the lot of em.
With all respect, you're not really up to speed on this one are you? This will put you in the picture.
And 22,000 of 28,000 bTB infected cows slaughtered last year have been sold back into the food chain by the Tory government. Supermarkets won't take it, but fast food outlets, hospitals and schools do. Chances are, your children are eating beef infected by bovine tuberculosis. The government say bTB is such a problem they will try to wipe out your wildlife, but will feed infected meat to your kids. This is how this government treats the terminally ill... so the badgers have NO chance http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...e-reassessment-diagnosed-terminal-cancer.html
Good work mr c. Never mind the morons who think they should be culled mate , keep the info coming. If some people visited some of the farms I have been to and seen the way cattle are kept, then they would know why the T B rates are up. The farmers need to get their act together and clean up their farms and holding facilities
How do you propose even more cows aren't slaughtered with bTB next year and the year after? The problem is on the increase after all and having a devastating effect on farming. How is the badger cull different from exterminations of other types of vermin? Other than they look cute and cuddly? Should we stop killing rats for example? They are killing vermin to secure the future of part of the UK human food chain . Isn't the protest largely driven by those against animal consumption?
Dont think so Gally.. I would rather die than not eat meat.. but knowing the facts of this Badger Cull shows that it isnt a health issue but clearly a political issue..The fact that imunisation would be cheaper and more efficiant should be enough to tell even the most Tory of Torys that its wrong.. the hundreds of anti cull protesters would conduct an imunisation program FREE of charge... so I ask the question " why doesnt the government go down that avenue?"....POLITICAL thats why...
Not sure it would be cheaper. I saw a report that said that immunisation would cost £642 per badger per year as it has to be repeated every 5 years. I think they estimated there were 200,000 badgers in the UK. A few hundred protestors realistically arent going to immunise the UK's badger population and keep it innoclated going forward. Also how is it not a health issue? Its been proven to cut down bTB in Ireland.
