    Yeah he was playing for Wycombe Wanderers against us. Up there with the Adrian Pennock loving when it comes to away team players by our fans.

    Why? There's a number of us who'd been watching Barnsley for years before God signed from Celtic. He's by far the greatest player I've ever seen play for Barnsley, but he certainly wasn't my first Reds hero.

    Neil Redfearn is the first player i can really remember thinking was class and loved him!!!

    But i was mascot around 1990ish - West Ham at home live on ITV opening day of season and ive still got framed photo at home of me with Andy Rammell. So i must have loved him also!!!!!

    Captains photo that day is Julian Dicks for West Ham. Remember him squeezing my hand really really hard when everyone shook hands for coin toss ect!!!

    only 1 for clarkey so far?
    he was my hero n got me watching tarn.
    i honestly feel if it wasn't for him we would have spent the 80's fighting re-election, he single handed pushed our club forward.
    in todays terms its like beckham being gaffa of chesterfield

    Brian joicey was great bloke too ,I always remember him calling into the old Bfc social club after a game ( during his illness) .He got a standing ovation and all the club "sang thus only one Brian joicey "! Poor Brian broke down crying . Loved the man .

    When I was younger, I loved Clint Marcelle and Neil Redfearn. Nicky Eaden and Arjan De Zeeuw too for that matter, in fact, the entire 96/97 squad.
