Im not saying he should be beyond criticism, just that he's done so much for the club and people are understandably loathed to be overly critical of him.

We won't even talk to people INSIDE S70!

Small time aims = small time results.

I fully agree with you. We have to live within our means but there has been little or no attempt to like you say "extend those means" The club excels at one thing - saying why something CAN'T be done. There is one man to blame for that as far as I am concerned.

Next couple of games are critical to Keith Hill.

Should he see sense and address centre-backs (drop McNulty) and also play a 4-4-2 with real wide players (Jim O'Brien), then he will be "buying some time for himself".

To be honest though, my confidence is shot and I think he's on a life-support machine (in footballing terms)?

I know that they are and can understand it. But he is responsible for the attitude of the club - the defeatist nature of the club over teh last 18 months and the failure to consolidate in teh division beyond perrenial relegation strugglers.

I agree. Of course we have little idea about what if anything is going on behind the scenes re: any take over, which slightly confuses the whole "Hill Out" issue. If wed replace him and 6 months later a new ownser is found, then what? Another manager?

I think the decision comes down to the dressing room. If he still has the players 100% with him then stick with him. Its clearly critical we pick up points between now and the New Year. When the players belief in the regime goes then the manager has to go too. Up to know I think the fans at Oakwell have been behind him too and that needs to remain. I really hope we can turn it round though I think we need 3 wins in the next 6 games and its hard to see at this moment.

We're in a relegation scrap, we need points however they'll come. A win against Wednesday should hopefully restore some confidence and break this bad run of form.

If we play well and still lose then I'd say that's probably more worrying, as what's likely to happen when we come up against a half decent team and play badly.

I really do want him to turn it round, after the signings of Greening etc I thought it would give everyone a lift, defeat against Cardiff was expected, I expected to pick up maximum points against Burnley but the team showed no urgency just pass, pass, pass then back to Steele to hoof it forward. Watford was another tricky away game but again I thought we might sneak a point. I turned off soccer Saturday and passed caring at 3:10pm once the reporter at Vicarage Road said that we had conceded from a set piece yet again.

Leicester is the type of game we will probably go and win, and then roll over against Wednesday so god knows where that would leave Hill.

Maybe it is time for a change from the board room down.

    You Reds! !!

He should be given until the Christmas fixtures are out of the way, that would be sufficient time for his latest signings to have either turned things around for him or not. If there are no signs of sustained improvement after 10 games with the new players, then I'm afraid he needs to go.

Got to agree with the majority of the above. I was concered about this takeover business to start with but for me, it can't come quick enough now, permitting whoever buys the club, runs it properly. I don't think Keith or Flicker are the problem, I just think they've got their hands tied behind their backs, and there's only so much they can do with the budget they've been allowed.

The sad fact of the matter is, that this club can no longer financially compete at this level, and if said takeover doesn't happen, then I think I would actually welcome relegation, just so we can be a bit more competitive.

We could **** him and eat him. Worth a try, I can't see how things could get any worse.

I'm intrigued by those who have voted they want him here regardless

Does that mean if we fail to win another game this season and are relegated you still want him here? If we're relegated from league 1 the following season do you still want him as our manager? If we fall through league 2 in to the conference is Keith Hill still the man? Because, taken to its logical conclusion, that's what regardless means.

In a results based industry I can't understand the mentality of disregarding results when assessing a manager.

I wouldn't trust eleven at the moment.

I suspect we have voted differently in the poll though.

I think if we are still out of the bottom 3 after Xmas we have as good a chance as any of staying up - the Wednesday game is probably going to be pivotal in this, if though we drop into the bottom 3 I think we will find it very difficult to get out and Hill will have everyone and the world against him.

I desperately want him to succeed here and can see what he is trying to do and the ethos he has, truth is we have never recovered from losing RVT / Drinkwater and Butterfield last January - none of this was Keiths fault BUT the blame has to lie with him for not recruiting adequate replacements - we have too many players that are not good enough when fewer quality players would have been better. This is where my issue with Keith is, not recruiting quality players and playing people out of position - the 'no-money' argument doesn't necessarily wash when we have a squad of 30 odd players picking up wages.

    I've voted for that.

He should be here until the end of the season at the very least. If we go down, I'd still keep him based on his record in that league.

    Patience.

for me it was the January decision

january will not be too short to turn it all around. But it depends what he does in that transfer session.Sadly I fear it will not be enough for many on here.I do hope he turns us around though.

Why - it's not that good. His record in league one is P46, W18 D14 L14. Nowhere near his current calamitous situation admittedly, but not good enough to get us back up.
