In a case which centred on his intention Boris Johnson did not file a witness statement. On the face of it this seems perplexing, but if you think about it there are a few inferences which can reasonably be drawn.

1. Prorogation was definitely about Brexit

If, as the PM maintained, the prorogation was nothing to do with Brexit he would have filed a witness statement. There would have been no reason not to. If there was an ulterior motive then Boris' options were either to file an untruthful witness statement or do nothing.

2. There is evidence that it was about Brexit

Given Boris Johnson's shaky relationship with the truth I would have expected him to file a witness statement saying the prorogation had nothing to do with Brexit unless he knows that evidence exists somewhere to...

Sky News, and others to follow presumably, are reporting that the Attorney General, Geoffrey Cox, advised that proroguing parliament wouldn’t be illegal - and so presumably good old Boris will say ‘not my fault, the chief legal adviser told me it was ok guvnor’ and carry on as though nothing happened, whilst someone else takes all the flak.

Might even be enough to save that horrible lovely person Cummings too, as I had thought it would be him thrown to the wolves to try and save Johnson. Might not be needed now. (The torygraph, sorry, Telegraph, have written a piece on how it would be a mistake to oust Cummings! Do me a favour, other than Johnson there’s barely even a Tory mp who can abide the odious cretin).

Ethan Pinnock has been a unused sub in their last three games and they have kept two clean sheets in that run without him, so I don't expect him to play against us.

Despite our form so far I am very confident we will win on Sunday. They won't bring many fans and I don't think the Brentford players will be pumped for a Sunday up north. We've only played two sides in the bottom half so far and had a tough start to the season against clubs expected to challenge for promotion like Fulham, Leeds and Forest. When we lose it's only by a goal or two and we've had fourteen shots on target in the last three games, although obviously we have to start taking them.

The time to worry would be if we were losing three...
Part 2

In part 1 of this piece, I discussed the balance between financial viability and footballing success, and I concluded that the football club could be more open and honest with the fans, that we could be trusted with the information. In this second piece, I would like to tackle the balance of the team within the overall shape dictated by the tactics employed by the Chief Coach. Team balance is a very difficult thing to get right. Everyone knows when the team has balance. It is obvious because the team is scoring goals, but at the same time, it also looks secure defensively. However, when the opposite is true, many observers go straight for what they understand – the quality of a player’s contribution on the ball. They...
So I know that there's a few NFL fans on here, who's your team & how far do you think they'll go this year?

My Falcons play tonight against the world champion Eagles, a game we're not expected to win but I do see us making it to the playoffs again. Our defence has to step up though, there's a lot of talent there but last year had the fewest amount of turnovers in the NFC. Plus the NFC South is stacked at usual, I've seen a lot of picking the Saints to go all the way. But anyway would love a win tonight, that'd be some sweet revenge.

And for those that follow NCAA at all I'm hoping that my Utah Utes can finally win the Pac-12 south, one hell of a tough schedule though.
